[BREAKING] FBI Indictment: PSC suspends DCP Abba Kyari …directs IGP to furnish it with information on further developments By: Kingsley Omonobi – Abuja. The Police Service Commission has suspended Abba Kyari, a Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force from the exercise of the Powers and functions of his office.  17 southern govs discuss Buhari’s land recovery order for herders Fayemi, Wike, Umahi and Okowa and Makinde during the Southern governors meeting on insecurity on Tuesday, May 11   The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari’s (retd.) order on the recovery of grazing routes for herders will top the agenda of today’s meeting of 17 southern governors, Africa Secrets Media has learnt. It was gathered that the meeting, which would hold eight weeks  after the governors met in Asaba, the Delta State capital, would further assess  decisions taken in Asaba on the open grazing ban, restructuring, fiscal federalism and the call for state police. The governors would be hosted by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the meeting which would start by 10am today (Monday).   June 12: Protest suffers low turn out, clashes in Lagos, Abuja, Cross river The protests held across the country on Saturday to mark Democracy Day were marred by low turnout, police resistance and arrests, especially in Lagos and the Federal Capital Territory. The Lekki area of Lagos, where a bloody ambush on  #EndSARS  protesters was recorded on October 20, 2020, was mostly calm on Saturday as residents shunned calls for protests. The Admiralty Circle Plaza and Ikoyi Link Bridge toll gates were the scenes of shootings by soldiers, after hundreds of youths had gathered there to express their grievances over alleged police brutality and poor governance.   June 12: Police fire tear gas at protesters in Lagos Men of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday morning fired tear gas canisters at the protesters gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Lagos, venue of the June 12 Democracy Day protest, ATMEN MEDIA report. The protesters were demanding an end to bad governance when they were tear-gassed by the security operatives. Several digital flyers, widely circulated on social media on Friday, had publicised meeting points in Lagos, Gombe, Calabar (Cross River), Yola (Adamawa), Bauchi, Abeokuta (Ogun), Yenagoa (Bayelsa), Port Harcourt (Rivers), Ibadan (Oyo), Ilorin (Kwara), Enugu, Akure (Ondo), Yobe, and Zaria (Kaduna).
